Join the 13th BIG-EU Plugfest May 22 - 24, 2019
Information Security Hub (ISH) of Munich Airport, Germany
- Interoperability testing in a cutting-edge test environment at the ISH lab
- Developer presentations on current developments in standardization and certification
- Optional IT security testing of the devices provided for the Plugfest in the ISH community, organized by ISH
The leading host of this year's Plugfest is BIG-EU member MBS GmbH. Nils-Gunnar Fritz (CEO of MBS GmbH and BIG-EU board member) expects more registrations than before also from outside Europe: "Through our cooperation with the Information Security Hub as host on site we offer the participants the perfect location and a further added value.”
The purpose of the Plugfest is to improve BACnet implementations and testing methods. It prevents from errors during commissioning and from mistakes in product development. The Plugfest provides device testing in pairing and round table sessions. Following the positive feed-back we will again organize three developer presentations. Applications for brief presentations are welcome.
Optional IT security testing
Additional tests at the ISH are organized by the ISH and take place after the Plugfest. The ISH invites participants to leave their components permanently at ISH and thus become members of the ISH community. By being involved in trainings and events at ISH or by conducting their own tests with existing ISH components and partners, bridges can be built between existing groups, and each participant benefits from looking outside the box. Information about ISH: www.ish-muc.com. The components are made available on a voluntary basis and the period can be determined individually. The integration of the components for test purposes in trainings and events is decided individually depending on the topic. For more details, please contact Marc Lindike (email@example.com)
BIG-EU Plugfest will start on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 09:00 a.m. and continues two and a half days till Friday at noon. The agenda is completed by a get together event and an optional ad-hoc testing session on Friday afternoon.
Who may partipate?
The Plugfest is open to developers and product managers. Each company may bring one or more testing teams, with a maximum of two participants per team. Sales and marketing staff are not admitted. For a successful participation please respect some general terms: Plugfest participants should be very familiar with the software and hardware that implements the capabilities being tested and are expected to have a good understanding of the BACnet protocol.
Retrospective BIG-EU Plugfest 2018
The resources are limited to 90 attendees. If the number of participants planning to attend the Plugfest exceeds the available resources, BIG-EU members will have priority.
