Interoperability testing in a marketing free, collegial, and constructive working atmosphere
Invitation for developer presentations on current progress in standardization and certification
Siemens Schweiz AG, Smart Infrastructure Building Products will host this year's Plugfest at the Siemens Visitor Center. Please start the video for taking a look at the Visitor Center.
Thomas Kurowski (Siemens) has agreed to be the organizer and moderator of the event. He will be assisted by Patrice Hell (Sauter).
The Plugfest was conceived to improve BACnet implementation and testing methods. It reduces both the risk of errors during commissioning and the number of faults in product development.
The Plugfest provides device testing in pairing sessions.
Following positive feedback after the last event we have again reserved slots for three short developer presentations. Applications must be submitted using the registration form.
Gain the knowledge and skills necessary for integrating BACnet/SC into products and solutions, enhancing the interoperability of products with other BACnet/SC devices.
The BIG-EU Plugfest registration and set-up starts at 09:00 a.m. Monday, May 02, 2022, and continues for two and a half days until noon on Wednesday. The agenda includes a social event on Tuesday night.
The Plugfest is open to developers and product testers. Please note that sales and marketing staff will not be admitted. To ensure the event runs smoothly we ask you to respect some general terms: Plugfest participants need to be very familiar with the software and hardware that implements the capabilities being tested and are expected to have a good understanding of the BACnet protocol.
For technical reasons the number of teams is limited to 22. Allowed teams consist of two, maximum three persons. If there are still places available by the deadline of March 14, attending companies may bring more than one testing team, with a maximum of two participants per team. If the number of participants exceeds the maximum, BIG-EU member registrations will be given priority.
One person must register as “team captain” and take responsibility for completing all details about any devices that will be brought along. NOTE: It is mandatory for the team captain to provide all device details required for registration.
The registration fee includes participation in the Plugfest and the developer presentations. Also included are three lunches, snacks and drinks during the breaks as well as the social event on the evening of the second day.
The fee per person is scaled from various discounts for members (depending on membership level) to non-members.
