About BIG-EU Plugfest

The Plugfest was conceived to improve BACnet implementation and testing methods. It reduces both the likelihood of errors during commissioning and the number of mistakes in product development.

The Plugfest provides device testing in pairing, round table and open sessions.

Following positive feedback after last year’s event we have again reserved slots for three short developer presentations. Applications must be submitted using the registration form.

Introducing
BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC)

Gain the knowledge and skills necessary for integrating BACnet/SC into products and solutions, enhancing the interoperability of products with other BACnet/SC devices.

Plugfest Agenda

The BIG-EU Plugfest kicks off at 09:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020, and continues for two and a half days until noon on Friday. The agenda is completed with a get together on Wednesday night and an optional ad-hoc testing session on Friday afternoon.

Who should join?

The Plugfest is open to developers and product managers. Please note that sales and marketing staff will not be admitted. To ensure the event runs smoothly we ask you to respect some general terms: Plugfest participants need to be very familiar with the software and hardware that implements the capabilities being tested and are expected to have a good understanding of the BACnet protocol.

Teams

Teams should ideally be made up of two people. Attending companies may bring more than one testing team, with a maximum of two participants per team. If the number of participants exceeds the maximum, BIG-EU member registrations will be given priority.

One person must register as “team captain” and take responsibility for completing all details about any devices that will be brought along. NOTE: At a later date, we will ask for some device specifications. The team captain will receive an e-mail asking for details of all devices and pairings.

Registration Fee

The registration fee includes participation in the Plugfest and the developer presentations. Also included are three lunches, snacks and drinks during the breaks as well as the social event on the evening of the first day.

The cost per person is scaled from non-members to various discounts for members, depending on membership level
  • Non-Members: 1290.00 €
  • Members of BACnet organizations: 820.00 €
  • Members of the BACnet Interest Group: 690.00 €
    • Gold: 655.00 €
    • Platinum: 621.00 €
    • Sponsor: 586.00 €

For technical and organizational reasons registration closes on May 15, 2020
